Weapon hot spots

If you'd like to know the juiciest opportunities for using any particular weapon in Bad Cyborg's mass of extracurricular fun for the Halo campaign, this list of suggestions should be just the thing.

Assault rifle

For this wild-firing popgun you'll usually want to be quite close to enemies, to make those rounds count. Let's see what we can come up with:

Chain-gun

Don't you just love the sound of that thing? Here are my best suggestions for ventilating masses of Covenant scum with lots of holes:

Needler

Ah the joy of streaming needles into stinkin' covie hide! Needler connoisseurs, load up that funky pink ammo and step this way:

Pistol

If you're a pistol fan like me, you'll be happy to hear that you're spoilt for choice when it comes to great places to use it. Such as:

Plasma pistol

Powerhouse extraordinaire. The following should give your little horse-shoe of death plenty of scope to work its magic:

Plasma rifle

Laugh heartily as you toast covies with their own lethal technology, in any of the following scenarios:

Rocket launcher

If you like to make a firm statement with your weaponry, this is the baby for you, and you're in for plenty of explosive fun with the following:

  • Level 4: Wreak a bit of havoc from On top of the island.
  • Level 4: Set up a Battle at the main facility as described in Marine battles on the island, and administer some rockety justice from down below on the grass.
  • Level 4: Let your launcher loose against Massed Hunters.
  • Level 4: Blast enemies with vicious abandon in a Platform attack.
  • Level 4: Set up a Prong attack and send rockets across the abyss, to blast enemies clean off the platforms. Especially Jackals!
  • Level 5: Good opportunities in the Mob battle in the first snowfield, as detailed in my account. In particular, you can potentially enjoy blasting the Wraith and a Ghost. And if it's mischief you want, you can blast a Stationary mob from afar - possibly up on a ledge.
  • Level 5: There's lots of rockety mischief available in Fun with a stolen Banshee. Send in rockets from distance and watch the bang through a sniper scope. Hee hee!
  • Level 5: Good opportunities in Massed enemy fun. Blast enemies close-up in a Plateau landing, or have long-range fun with a Tunnel defence or other plans.
  • Level 5: The Spiral path megabattle is a rocketer's paradise, and it's especially good fun in the path base defence plan. Also great fun to blast blockades, preferably when covies are right behind it. Oh, and don't forget to create some Ice horde carnage!
  • Level 5: The Twin bridges megabattle is tremendous for rockety goodness; anything from short to long range. Scan through the Battle plans for mentions. Blast approaching waves of enemy until your cyborg heart is singing with joy. Sheer glorious carnage. One particularly good place for it is in contributing platform support in a Trough defence featuring a blockade.
  • Level 5: You can have a bit of mischief with a few enemies by Going up the spine at the end, to fire down on them.

Shotgun

Short-range brutality your thing? Try this for size:

  • Level 9: The Flood onslaught challenge gives you some good shotgun fun, but you'll need to ration your ammo.
  • Level 9: You'll have an absolute field day in the Keyes hangar battle, and this time there's all the ammo you need.

Sniper rifle

Who can resist a spot of long-range death-dealing eh? Not me! Check out these excellent scenarios:
