BCM650 - Rockslide megabattle, another three plays
(7:28) Level 2 ('Halo') on Heroic. Yep, a further three plays of the simple set-up seen created in BCM648, as I continue to showcase some of the many possibilities. Two of the battle plans are well established; the third is a crazy and almost suicidal idea I tried for fun.

Commentary
00:02 (Play 1 - Plateau front defence) We open with the classic plateau front defence plan, one of my favourites and the topic of my first ever movie (quite a short movie; my battle movies are a lot meatier nowadays). No chain-gun support here; I usually forego it in my battles, to raise the challenge. Also, I stick with the pistol and AR.
Things get a bit hairy when I go down to my last health bar, but Marine frags help out quite a bit.
02:59 (Play 2 - Hidey-hole defence) I've never featured a hidey-hole defence before, although the location was briefly used in BCM628. A rather nice hold-out spot, and I have some good fun with it here.
Something to note: at the start I make sure to pass through part of the dropship trigger zone, to free some covies of their initial territorial restrictions. Without that, the dropship 4 Jackals would've stayed distant.
05:27 (Play 3 - Crazy idea I tried) Trying to survive in this area is not recommended, and I knew it was going to be hard to survive, but I thought it might make for some good entertainment. I did many plays for it and was killed more often than not. On this occasion however, victory is achieved. Needless to say, it was jolly useful that two blue Elites got splattered on the way in, and that a third was almost immediately tagged by a helpful Grunt!
In an incident around 6:17, the Aussie gunner impressively survives a close plasma blast which kills the seated guy, only to be tagged later, which was a bit much even for him! Of course, I should never have let that first Grunt lob his grenade, but it seems like my pistol work was a bit flustered. And then for the second Grunt I was using a needler. I knew it wasn't the ideal weapon to use in this struggle, but it's so much fun to use.
Closing remarks Yet another three plays next!
